The Chefs' Warehouse - New York, NY
After outgrowing their existing Hunts Point storage facility, The Chefs’ Warehouse needed to find property and construct a cold storage warehouse with a larger capacity.
Food Tech was selected for the project because of their expertise in facility planning and cold storage engineering. Food Tech performed a business location study which analyzed a variety of properties and sites within the Metro New York area. They determined that an existing ambient warehouse would serve as the site for an expansion and renovation project.
The finished project transformed the property into a state-of-the-art multi-temperature food service distribution center with a Freon refrigeration system. Food Tech helped ensure the facility had highly advanced material handling design to allow The Chefs’ Warehouse to increase stock, while keeping unit (SKU) offerings, service levels, and sales high.
