Rodel International - Laredo, TX
Rodel International needed an expert design-build team to lead the construction of a new cold storage warehouse for berries in Laredo, TX. Food Tech was selected for the project thanks to their industry leading cold storage construction, design, and engineering services.
The project involved significant refrigeration engineering challenges, including the construction of an eight-door refrigerated dock as well as the installation of an industrial refrigeration system. Additionally, the plant contains multiple temperature and humidity zones designed to meet the most stringent Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HAACP) standards. At 35,000 square feet, the completed produce distribution and storage center has expanded Rodel’s distribution capacity, helping them get their product to the market fresher and faster.
During this project, Food Tech delivered the following:
- Design-build and cold storage construction
- Cost-effective insulated panel construction
- Multi-temperature and humidity facility with zones from -10°F to 55°F
- Refrigerated docks with eight doors
- HAACP compliant design engineering
- Industrial refrigeration design
